Ex-Neighbours star Michelle Ang is tipped as the favourite to take on the high profile role of Harry Potter's love interest in the fourth movie. The 19-year-old New Zealander recently quit the role of Lori Lee on the soap and auditioned for the role of Cho Chang in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
But she faces competition from two other hopefuls, Korean pop sensation Kwan Boa and sexy British-born Californian model Jennifer Nguyen.

I think they should find someone for cho chang who has the right kind of accent and looks like cho's discription given in the book that way people who watch the movie feel more comfortable with the character it would be like the veiwer know's Cho Chang

That's not true , in a recent interview, Michelle Ang claimed that she was not informed about being offered a position in HP and has no idea who Cho CHang is

i think they should find agirl in china,'cos there are many pretty girl speaking english very well now,if they only want to find the girl who lives in uk of is a star then they wont find a real good girl,lol~~~~

I think that they should have someone with the same description I've found it kind of weird that they say things in the book that are yet very different from what happens in the movie. Especially in characteristics of the actors that play certain characters.

I'd LOVE to see Michelle Ang as Cho Chang!! She's beyond beautiful, she's dropdead gorgeous! My boyfriend said, "It's about time "physical beauty" is added to the movie -- after all, Cho is described as beautiful to Harry Potter!!

i think she would be a great choice for cho, but i have heard her audtioning was just a rumour. and she is kinda asian isnt she? and shes an actress, im sure she can put on a british accent. I think they should find a fresh face to play Cho, someone who's already a star will destroy this character becoz no one has seen Cho before. I think they should audition Asian girls from anywhere around the world as long as they speak fluent english despite the accent. Cho is from Taiwan becoz of the spelling, she can be Korean too, i think Chinese or Korean will fit the best!! I like Boa but she's not Cho's type. Definitely not Michelle Ang or Devon Aoki

She won't be playing Cho Chang, I don't think. A lot of these rumors have been circulating... the ones about Boa, Michell e Ang, etc. First off- Boa can barely speak english, and Cho must, so...no. Michelle Ang is most likely just a rumor. They did a Cho Chang open audition and will be searching through thousands of girls- even for media hype, they wouldn't go through the expense and fandom-disappointment of doing such thorough auditions if they already did have a Cho.

dont know who the girls you guys are talking about, but i did read a newspaper article about who cho chang will be. actually, the film company havent told the public yet, but they did say she's a really pretty girl from great britain who goes to a really rich school and is very elegant. so i cant wait to see the movie, even if i still think the books are so much better. they should make another different harry potter movie or sth.

I am applying as Cho Chang. I am half asian and half Italian. My parents think that since I have Italian in me that I would probably be one of the Asians that stand out more. Furthermore, as far as the directors picked, I happen to go to a private school and I live in one of the wealthiest towns in the United States. Not to be a snobb but I know that I deserve the part, not some 19 year old,A Korean pop star or a model. Besides, they're not all that pretty. I am right around Dan's age. I also adore Dan and I think they are caught up with way too much so I deserve the part.

I went in for round 1 of the Cho Chang casting and honestly I think they're looking for chinese girls who are more british than asian. Half the girls there weren't even chinese - they were hawaian, iranian, arabic...and I even saw a british girl.
Everyone said that I was a catch to play her but seriously, I don't even want to anymore. Like tshering om said, all the girls would probably want to kill me - even if I do despise Daniel Radcliffe.
