Casting for Luna Lovegood

The casting department of the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix film are currently visiting schools across the UK to try and cast the role of strange fourth year Ravenclaw student Luna Lovegood.
Luna is definitely one of our favourite characters- she’s a kindred spirit- and we can’t wait to see who’ll be playing the part.

hia i’m hopeing and waiting to see if i have an audition for the part luna. i have sent my picture in and they have sed my looks are perfect for the part.

I think that I would be good enough to play the part as Luna Lovegood, because I am confident in myself and I don’t think, I KNOW that I am going to do whatever it takes to win this part as Luna Lovegood. I am not like most actresses either, because whenever I’m on stage, like at the 5th grade talent show, I all of a sudden feel like I’m not the actor anymore, I feel like I’m the character, and that is a very rare feeling that any actor or actress ever feels.

okay, so maybe i don’t have the exact look j.k. rowling descibed luna as. okay, not even close. i have these long dark locks and light brown skin( kinda like the patil twins but diferent) but what you want is someone who can act. it wont be that hard because i’m just like luna, except i got friends. i’m talented at just about every thing i can do and i know i will do great if i’m picked. PLEASE. this is EVERYTHING to me. just please give me an audition. (plus i dont care if any one said that emily snob look like luna lovegood.*thats not a compliment sweetie*. PLUS, I WANT THIS MORE THAN ANY OF THESE GIRLS HERE.I WILL ACTUALLY WORK FOR IT AND NOT JUST DEPEND ON LOOKS!!

look i have sent a letter to leavesden studios and havent had a reply for about 1 month????i would love to play luna!!! i am 12 and i live in somerset willing to go anywere. i have dirty blonde hair silvery eyes and i am alot like luna please get back to me xxx

i have always wanted to act ever since i was 9 years old. i even been in some school plays, like i have been in Cinderelle, Annie, and Scorge, which in plays i done great in, even the teacher who directed the play said i would be a great actress. i do sorta am like luna , i have big grey eyes, but i have dark hair, which i don’t think it would matter because i would just dye it , so it can look like luna’s hair colour.

I think it would be cool to play Luna… I dunno, seems like a pretty chill cast and the director seems to know what he’s doing. I dunno, maybe I should just stick to stage acting, I’ve made a pretty good name for myself I don’t know if I would want this possibly flipping my good luck.
But…I do have the hair and the eyes…eh, I have my nose pierced so it probably wouldn’t work out…besides, I’m from California.lol. Yeah, I think I’ll just stay here in my Arts Institute and coffee shops. Sorry just thinking out loud…lol.
*Tip* I know you prolly don’t care, but if you’re going to audition: Don’t be too cocky, Luna isn’t a big role, and there is no need for a huge ego, in fact a lot of directors won’t work with you if you have one (ah the follies of the arrogant). Like I said, the HP cast seems pretty Lax, so there’s really no need to go ruin it with some bogus attitude. And don’t grovel, an actor’s nothing without their dignity. And don’t try to intimidate others by saying things like “Don’t waste your time.” that’s that ego again. And I beseech you; do NOT say that you will do anything, that’s a little creepy and makes you seem less credible.
Well, I’m outtie 500, see y’all ’round, maybe one of ya will be on the silver screen. I would say good luck, but that’s bad so…break a leg or vomit or something…lateskees.

Hi,
I sent a letter in and I think i’d be really good fit for Luna i’m just like her. The thing is i’m only 12 and they sent a letter, but they said that I was to young, bummer. Only if I was a year older.
But if people do get rejected don’t dwell on it, just get over it and move on I have and have gone in for plenty more roles.

It would be nice to be able to play Luna - or even audition, but seeing as I happen to live in California that will not happen - she is great because she is wierd like me and has blonde hair like me and stuff - I will not say I would be perfect at playing her though because Luna Lovegood is a character you just couldn’t copy. You are probably thinking that I am crazy right now but I don’t care - Luna is awesome.

we hate u Luna our dreams were about to come true until you came. We were almot there until u came. When we herd that u won we cryied until blood came out of our eyes.You are like the bad girl in the movie who runes evrything.Well now we are trying to get in the cronecals of narnia. We cant be in the Harry Potter movie because we did all that work for nothing.But i know u did hard to so may GOD BLESS YOU. Bye Bye
